He was a lifelong member of the Bunkertown Brethren Church where he was active and involved in serving in a number of roles including Sunday School Superintendent, serving as a Deacon, teaching Sunday School and Bible School, and serving on other various committees.

Larry enjoyed Bible Prophecy and singing where he sang with The Good Ole Boys for 15 years and joined and sang with the Bunkertown Men’s Chorus continually since 1962. He also enjoyed and loved having fun with his children, grandchildren, and great grandson.

One of Larry’s pride and joys was the fact that he got to live in the same house he grew up on on his family’s homestead farm that has been in his family since the 1800’s.
