Obituary for Roseanne M. Spak

Roseanne M. Spak, 78, of Mifflin, passed away at 11:29 PM on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on July 11, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, she is the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Grimes) McSloy
On February 12, 1963, she married her late husband, Nicholas D. Spak, with whom she was blessed to share over 58 years of marriage before his passing on April 11, 2021.
She is survived by her children, Daniel J. Spak of West Chester, Diane M. Husbands and her husband James of Bradenton, FL, Michael C. Spak and his wife Deana of New Jersey, Matthew A. Spak and his wife Kelly of Quakertown, and Helena Spak of North Carolina; siblings; Patricia Koen of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, Charlie McSloy of Burlington, New Jersey, Helena Coffey of Bringantine, New Jersey; eleven grandchildren, Douglas Spak, Melissa Spak, Allyson Spak, Lauren Spak, Brian Spak, Nathan Spak, Christopher Husbands, Steven Husbands, Nicholas Spak, Olivia Spak, and Kiara Gantt; four great grandchildren, Oliver Spak, Charlotte Spak, Lilianna Spak, and Serra Spak.
Roseanne was preceded in death by; a sister Christine Ruff and brothers; Bernard McSloy, Joseph McSloy and James McSloy.
Mrs. Spak was a 1960 graduate of Little Flower Catholic School for Girls in Philadelphia and was employed and retired as a Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service.
She was a member and attended St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Mifflintown.
In earlier life, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting with her grandchildren.
Her hobbies included ceramics making and collecting Ukrainian eggs, glassware, and quilts.
Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy and she will be greatly missed and remembered by those that loved her and those that called her friend.
All Services will be private with Interment taking place at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Spak’s memory can be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, P.O. Box 187, Mifflintown, PA 17059. All checks can be made payable to Father Jayaseelan Amalanathan.
