Obituary

Shirley M. Haubert , 77, of Richfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:56 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.

Born on October 20, 1943 in Mifflintown, Juniata County, she is the daughter of the late William P. and Emma V. (Snyder) Coldren. In June of 1961, she married her late husband, Marlin L. “Dick” Haubert, Jr., with whom she was blessed to share over 52 years of marriage before his passing on September 26, 2013.

Surviving her is her son, Curtis L. Haubert of Richfield; a brother in law and sister in law, Barry Leister and his wife Gloria of Mount Pleasant Mills; a brother in law, Donald Miller of Thompsontown; and many generations of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Larue Barton and husband Paul, Bernie Nace and her husband William “Bill”, and Arlene Miller.

Shirley was a 1961 graduate of East Juniata High School in Cocolamus and was a member and had attended Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Mifflintown.

In earlier life, she helped her husband and son on the family farm and enjoyed raising chickens and pigs. Later in life, she helped with the family business, Ridge Road Garage in Richfield.

Mrs. Haubert enjoyed puzzles, crossword puzzles, watching birds, and loved sitting on her front porch watching her flowers and the world go by.

All services will be private with Pastor Aaron Benner officiating and interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Haubert’s memory may be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201; St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
