Obituary for M. Kathleen Ronk (Low)

M. Kathleen Ronk, 90, of Oakland Mills, formerly of Hesston, passed away at 3:34 PM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on October 20, 1930 in Huntingdon, Huntingdon Co., she is the daughter of the late Boyd and Alda Jane (States) Low.

On June 2, 1955, she married her late husband, Clair D. Ronk with whom she was blessed to share over 65 years of marriage before his passing on November 21, 2020.

She is survived by her children, David C. Ronk and his wife Barbara of Mohnton, Charlene L. Kane of Oakland Mills, and Faith A.E. Imler and her husband William of Camp Hill; seven grandchildren, Sarah Ronk, Shara Smith, Bethany Smith and her husband Nathan, Brian Kane and his wife Erica, Deanne Eldred and her husband Dennis, Kay Martin, and Christopher Spencer; thirteen great grandchildren with two on the way; one sister, Minerva Quarry Park of Delaware; and many generations of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son in law, K. Kristopher Kane and seven brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Ronk enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and making wax candles; however, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

All Services will be Private with Pastor Steve Benedict officiating. Interment will take place at the White Church Cemetery in Penn Twp., Huntingdon Co.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Ronk’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N Progress Ave Ste 103, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
