Obituary for Ralph J. Graham
Ralph J. Graham, 90, of McAlisterville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lewistown.
Born on January 4, 1930 in Mifflintown, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Walter and Helen (Zechman) Graham.
On October 14, 1949, he married his late wife, Phyllis A. (Carwell) Graham with whom he was blessed to share over 69 years of marriage before her passing on September 7, 2019.
He is survived by: two daughters, Kathie Drolsbaugh and her husband Carl of Honey Grove, and Amy Shertzer and her husband Mike of Mifflintown; one daughter in law, Kathie Graham of McAlisterville; nine grandchildren, Stefanie Kerstetter, Drue Richmond, Kylie Dunn, Adam Drolsbaugh, Gabe Drolsbaugh, Caleb Shertzer, Colton Shertzer, Hannah Shertzer, and Hailie Shertzer; and nine great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven P. Graham on November 17, 2020 and two brothers making him the last of his generation.
Mr. Graham was employed for over 40 years in the construction industry and was last employed and retired in 1995 as a Foreman with Stabler’s Construction in Harrisburg.
Ralph was a member of the McAlisterville United Methodist Church and the Millerstown Moose, Lodge 925.
In earlier life, he enjoyed fishing and going to the sprint car races, especially to Port Royal Speedway. Later in life, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and attending his grandchildren’s events; however, and most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 4633 Cuba Mills Road, Mifflintown with Pastor Parrish Munro officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in McAlisterville.
A viewing will take place from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral services at 1:00 PM on Monday at the Church.
