Obituary for Lloyd E. Zeiders

Lloyd E. Zeiders, 76, of Mifflintown (Licking Creek), died on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on Feb. 2, 1944 in Milford Twp., Juniata County, he is a son of the late James E. and Bessie (Burd) Zeiders.
Surviving are a sister, Nancy Garland and her husband Marlin, a brother, John Zeiders, a sister-in-law, Janice Zeiders all of Mifflintown. Also surviving are several generations of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William D. “Bill” Zeiders on Dec. 8, 2017.
Lloyd was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post No. 298, Mifflintown.
He was a retired self-employed logger.
With his love of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter.
A public graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery, Licking Creek with Pastor Michael Erhard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Zeider’s memory can be made to the Juniata County Veterans Council, P.O Box 1, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown.
