Obituary for Lester A. "Les" Walters Jr.






Lester A. “Les” Walters, Jr., 56, of Port Royal, passed away at 8:35 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his residence.

Born on October 17, 1964 in Lancaster, Lancaster County, he is a son of Lester A. Sr. and Dorothy (Leister) Walters of Marysville.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Lesa M. (Lebkicher) Walters; three children, Ashley F. Dressler and her husband Michael of McClure, Christopher D. Walters of Port Royal, and Jared C. Walters of Lewistown; two step children, Ashley L. Delancey and her husband Dane of Port Royal, and Brian K. Oberlin Jr. and his wife Shannon of South Korea; five siblings, William Walters and his wife Tina of Mifflin, David Walters and his wife Tricia of Port Royal, Harold Walters and his companion Stacey of Duncannon, Pam McClure and her husband Donnie of Port Royal, and Kathy Walters of Mifflin; three beloved grandchildren, Dameon Dressler, Rylee Delancey, and Reid Delancey; and his faithful feline companion, Tiggy.

Les was a 1982 graduate of Juniata High School and honorably served our country in the United States Army.

He was employed and retired as a Journeyman for the Pipeliner’s Local Union 798.

Mr. Walters was Protestant by faith and loved sprint car racing, hunting, fishing, and working on his little farm; however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Public Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal with Pastor Dan Sellers officiating.

There will be no public viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Walters’ memory can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
