Obituary for Max W. "Bill" Gray Sr.
Max W. “Bill” Gray,Sr. 73, of Mifflintown, passed away at 4:48 am on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on October 6, 1947, in Tuscarora Township, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Elmer J. and Lademia Mae (McCulloch) Gray. On August 30, 1969 he married his late wife Vicki R. (Spade) Gray, with whom he was blessed to share more than 38 years of marriage, before she preceded him in death on December 16, 2007.
Surviving are two sons; Max R. Gray Jr. and his wife Jami, Bradley M. Gray and his companion Jennifer, all of Mifflintown, two brothers, David Gray and his wife Linda, George Gray and his wife Cindy of Walnut, two sisters, Janet Henry and her husband Dave, of Mifflintown, Linda Bowers of Thompsontown, and he leaves behind five grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Austin, Vivian and Candace.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Joyce (Gray) Suter.
He retired from Zimmerman Truck Lines, Inc., with 31 years of service.
Max loved hunting, dirt track racing and spending time at the farm with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.
A public graveside funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, on Thursday, December 17, 2020, from the Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown with the Rev. Nicholas Smith officiating.
