Obituary for Steven R. "Dewey" Arentz

Steven R. “Dewey” Arentz, 58, of Port Royal, passed away at 6:40 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2020 on Route 35 South, Mifflin, from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Born on February 22, 1962 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is a son of the late Harold C. “Fred” and Hazel A. (Leach) Arentz.
Surviving are a daughter, Bree E. Arentz of Mifflintown, siblings, Gayle L. Rumberger and her husband Donald of Mifflin, Ronald L. Arentz of McAlisterville, Helen M. Britcher and her husband Rich of Port Royal, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Norman Arentz and a sister Karen Arentz.
Mr. Arentz was a 1981graduate of Juniata High School and he was currently employed by Dayton Parts, Harrisburg.
Dewey loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at camp with his friends. He will long be remembered as Uncle Dewey to many and he will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
A public graveside service will be held in the McCoysville Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 with the Rev. Judy Rowles officiating.
