Obituary for Steven P. Graham
Steven P. Graham, 68, of McAlisterville, passed away at 10:04 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Nittany Valley in Pleasant Gap.
Born on December 1, 1951 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., he is a son of Ralph J. Graham of McAlisterville and the late Phyllis A. (Carwell) Graham.
On June 9, 1973, he married his surviving wife, Kathie M. (Kepler) Graham with whom he was blessed to share over 47 years of marriage.
In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stefanie M. Kerstetter and her husband Caleb of McAlisterville and Drue E. Richmond and her husband Adam of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Adelynn Beaston, Mason Richmond, and one grandson on the way; two sisters, Kathie Drolsbaugh and her husband Carl of Honey Grove and Amy Shertzer and her husband Mike of Mifflintown; his mother in law, Doris Kepler of McAlisterville; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Graham was a 1969 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown and was employed and retired after 35 years of service from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Treasury.
Steve was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Mifflintown, the Knights of Columbus, the Fayette Lions Club in McAlisterville, and the Little Juniata River Association. He will also be remembered for his volunteerism for the Special Olympics for over 25 years and also the Juniata Meals on Wheels.
His hobbies included being an avid golfer and fly fisherman; being an ardent Penn State sports fan; and enjoying summers at Greene Hills Campground in Barree, PA; however, the most important thing to him was his family.
There will be no viewing; however, a Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:45 PM on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 in the Prayer Garden at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 3918 William Penn Highway, Mifflintown.
A Private Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the convenience of the family with Father John Bateman officiating. Interment will be private.
