Obituary for Dianne L. Detra
Dianne L. Detra, 68, of Mifflintown, passed away at 11:44 p.m., on Friday, May 22, 2020 at her home.
Born September 17, 1951, in Thompsontown, Juniata County, she is a daughter of A. Pearl (Oberlin) Swartz of Mifflintown and the late Kenneth E. Swartz.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children; Michelle J. Detra and her companion Tony Kauffman, of Mifflintown, Heidi L. Love, of East Waterford, Joshua E. Detra, of Mifflintown, a step-son, Keith Amtower, of Port Royal; siblings, Ed Swartz and his wife Donna, of Boston, Neil Swartz and his wife Charlotte, of Mifflintown, Lynetta Armstrong and her husband Kevin, of Port Royal, 8 grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter and last but not least her dog Molly.
A son, Mark Carl Detra preceded her in death in infancy.
She was a 1970 graduate of Juniata High School, Mifflintown and a member of the Locust Run United Methodist Church. Her other memberships included a social membership of both the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post No. 5863 and the American Legion Post No. 298 both of Mifflintown.
Dianne served as the secretary and financial coordinator for dentist office of Dr. David J. Buriak, of Millerstown.
All services are private with the Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating. Interment will be in the Locust Run Cemetery, Locust Run.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
