Obituary for Paul Jackson Gray

Paul Jackson “Jack” Gray, 81, of Mifflin, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on July 7, 1938, in Mt. Union, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Merle and Blanche (Hampton) Gray. On October 28, 1965, he married his surviving wife, Susie (Bailor) Gray with whom he was blessed to share more than 54 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Brenda Gray, Brian Gray and his wife Diane, all of Mifflintown, 2 granddaughters, Jessica Gray and her companion Justin Roush, Erica Wray and her companion Tren Snell and 4 great-grandchildren, Brody Wray, Lexi McAlister, Briella Snell and Braxton Snell.
Mr. Gray was a 1956 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, a member of the Union Lodge No. 324 F&AM , the American Legion Post No. 298 all of Mifflintown, a life member of the NRA, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Juniata Valley Forest No. 88 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 925, Millerstown.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
In earlier life, he was employed by the American Viscose Corp., Lewistown, after which he was employed by Texas Eastern Pipeline, East Waterford retiring in 1996.
Jack loved the outdoors being an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing; however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren
All services will be private with the Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating. Interment will be in the McCulloch’s Mills Cemetery, Honey Grove, where military burial honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army from Ft. Meade, Maryland.
