I would like to extend my condolences to the entire family on Barry's passing.
We got to know each other during high school and remained friends from there on.
I always enjoyed his company and in recent years, at our monthly lunches at Hoss'
along with others from the Class of '66.
Will always fondly remember the memories of him over the years.

It is with regret that I read of Barry's (Moose) passing. In recent years I lost contact with him, and the other guys who attended occasional luncheons in Lewistown. An unfortunate circumstance. He was always friendly to me and I enjoyed talking with him.
He always seemed to have a smile; even when it was evident he was not feeling well. I pray his family will have solace in the fact that he is at peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Creator, and His Son, Jesus Christ. Good-bye Moose. May we meet again in that Eternal House of God.

It's with great sorrow that I write this message of condolence to the family of my friend Barry "Moose" Reichenbach. Barry, as I knew him, was a very special high school classmate (class of 66) who was always great fun to be around. We were quite mischievous both inside and outside of high school and were always getting into trouble then being sent to the principal's office - mainly for smoking cigarettes on school property - can you imagine that happening in today's world! Barry got the title "moose" in our senior year when one day he showed up for class wearing Moose horns on his head. From that time on, those who were close to Barry called him Moose. He was very proud of that name! I called him Moose every time we met at our class luncheons generally held monthly during the summer at Hoss's restaurant in Lewistown. We graduated from Lewistown Granville High School in 1966 after which I married and moved to Florida. Most regrettably I lost contact with Moose for almost 45 years since we lived so far apart. I didn't know Moose was a Vietnam Veteran until our reuniting when my wife Paula & I returned to Mifflin County (after retirement) in 2008. From that time on until his death, Moose and I kept in contact somewhat frequently. I knew of his failing health due to exposure to Agent-Orange and feared that it would one-day end his life. Quite regrettably I was correct. Barry will be missed by me and all the other luncheon classmates that knew him up to the time of his passing. My solace in all of this is knowing that one day "Moose" and I will be reunited when I too place my feet on Heavenly ground and am welcomed by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Surely Moose will be there to greet me and maybe he'll be wearing those coveted Moose horns!

My deepest sympathy to you Ryan and David.on the loss of your Dad. I have not seen either of you since you were young boys but I am your cousin, Tammy. My Mom, Lenny was your Dad's older sister. I am also sad to hear of your mom's passing, I did not know. I have good memories of your Dad, from when I was much younger. He was Uncle Barry to me. I remember he served in Vietnam the same time as my Dad and they actually got to see one another over there even though they were not stationed at the same base. I remember Gram Reichenbach idolized your Dad and was very proud of him for serving and of his accomplishments. Prayers for you and your families as you adjust to your loss.
