Obituary for Ethel M. Renninger (Lauver)

Ethel M. (Lauver) Renninger, 104, of Richfield, passed away at 12:15 AM on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Brookdale Grayson View in Selinsgrove.

Born on August 19, 1914 in Richfield, she is a daughter of the late John and Katie (Gearhart) Lauver.

In December, 1932, she married her late husband, Arthur D. Renninger, with whom she was blessed to share more than 31 years of marriage before his passing on November 7, 1964.

She is survived by: her children, Earl Renninger and his wife Lorraine of Mount Pleasant Mills, John Renninger and his wife Audrey of Richfield, Stanley Renninger and his wife Lorraine of Richfield, Lois Richenbach and her husband Robert of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Carol Swartz and her husband Phillip of Tallahassee, FL; fifteen grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, June Shellenberger; one son, Paul Renninger; two grandchildren, Ricky Renninger and Douglas Shellenberger; and two sisters, Irene Polner and Fern Rhoades.

Mrs. Renninger was a member of the Richfield Life Ministries Church, the Women’s Missionary Society at Church; and the Richfield Senior Citizens Center. She was very proud of her perfect attendance for many years at Church, was active in earlier life in supporting the Juniata County Association for the Blind, and enjoyed quilting and baking.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Richfield Life Ministries Church, 167 Church St., Richfield with the Rev. Jerry O’Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the Richfield Union Cemetery.

Viewing will be held on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11 AM at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Renninger’s memory may be made to the Richfield Life Ministries Church Global Outreach Fund, 167 Church St., Richfield, PA 17086.
