Our family shares a music and Bible lesson once a month at Graysonview. Ethel liked us to sing "Gentle Shepherd." One time last fall she was not up to coming out to the program so I said we'd come sing for her when we finished. As we were greeting people after our program, one of the nurses walked past saying that Ethel didn't want to go to bed yet because someone's coming, but the nurse thought it was late enough that no one was coming. We chuckled and said that Ethel was right! We were going to sing for her. That is only one example of how with it she was! She was so special!! Now she's home with Jesus! Let's be faithful, too! Love and prayers, Bill & Rose Weaver family

Dear Earl and Lorraine, Debbie, Dana, Dawn, Joel, and Jill and families. It has been such a long time since I've been able to enjoy the warmth of your family. You are all in our prayers as you walk this path. I'm sure your Mom/"Gramal" is rejoicing with Jesus today. Blessings, Rich & Joyce (Holt) Staley

I helped to take care of Ethel at her Graysonview home. For years, I have told her, "Ethel, you amaze me." She really did. She had such love and compassion for everyone around her, especially her children and grandchildren. She had such an amazing memory at the age of 104. She reminded me of things that even I forgot. She didn't have the best eyesight but you knew if she liked you. She had a plaque in her apartment that read "LIVE BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT". That couldn't be more true of Ethel. Whenever i had a spare moment I would try to spend some time with her. She loved our talks.....as did I. That's one of the things that I'll miss the most. My job is difficult at times, but it's so rewarding. I love everything I do where I work. Death is by far the most difficult part of my job. When I lose someone that I deeply cared for I feel it for a long time. I'm just so grateful that Ethel is finally with her husband and her children. She finally can see again! God Bless the entire Renninger family.
