Dr. David L. Aldinger, II, 70, of McAlisterville, passed away at 2:40 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.

Born on March 27, 1948 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., he is a son of the late Wayne A. and Janet I. (Reisinger) Aldinger.

On June 8, 1974, he married his surviving wife, Lucille F. (Genetti) Aldinger with whom he was blessed to share over 44 years of marriage.

Dr. Aldinger was a 1966 graduate of Camp Hill High School. After that, he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and his medical degree from the Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He then completed his Medical Residency in Family Practice at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown.

After his residency, David had a brief practice in Mifflinburg. In 1978, he began his medical practice in McAlisterville and retired in 2018 after 40 years of service to the community.

Dr. Aldinger was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in McAlisterville where he enjoyed serving the Lord. In earlier life, he enjoyed cycling and skiing but the greatest joy he currently had was spending time with his family, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lane Aldinger and his wife Denise of Pueblo, CO, Drew Aldinger and his wife Felicia of Afton, VA, Davey Aldinger and his wife Megan of McAlisterville, and Nicole Greenman and her husband Nate of Canton, MI; two grandchildren, Ana and Odon Aldinger and one expected grandchild due in May.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Aldinger.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 420 Main St., McAlisterville with the Rev. Erin Bovendam officiating. Interment will follow at the Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville.

A viewing will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville, however, there will be no viewing or a time of visitation at the church on Tuesday.
