Crystal A. Shaffer, 48, of McAlisterville, went home to be with the Lord at 5:10 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
Born on July 3, 1970 in Sunbury, Northumberland Co., she was a daughter of Kenneth E. Hepner of Mifflintown and the late Ruth K. (Kramer) Hepner.
On September 14, 1991, she married her surviving husband, Lee J. Shaffer, with whom she was blessed to share more than 26 years of marriage.
Crystal was employed as a bookkeeper for Rockland Hydraulic of Mifflintown.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church in Mifflintown and enjoyed scrapbooking, baking, cooking, outdoor activities, and crafts.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by three children, Brandon J., Coy K., and Anna E. Shaffer, all at home; siblings, Pastor Kenneth R. Hepner and his wife Raina of Mifflintown, Bonita Pelak (Andrew) of South Euclid, OH, Nevin Burns and his wife Kyleen of Mifflintown, and Kevin Burns and his wife Brandy of Mifflin; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her biological mother, Connie (Swartz) Hicks.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Life Center at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, 287 Deerville Road, Mifflintown with her brother, Pastor Kenneth R. Hepner officiating. Interment will be private at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
A Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Life Center.
